There is no debating our Person of the Year. John displayed incredible resilience and perseverance throughout 2016. Perhaps the most amazing feat was his return to the stage only 72 hours after major brain surgery last August. Music is his tonic and our fans fuel his energy. Please come out and recognize our Person of the Year at one of Beadhead’s upcoming gigs. We’d love to celebrate with you. We are happy he will be a contender for 2017’s Person of the Year.
Both John and Margaret took care of important medical issues this summer. Guitarist John DiFalco was back on stage for a set at Coyotes only three days after surgery. Margaret also made a quick return. Thanks to the musicians who filled in during the busy August timeframe. The Beadhead family grew to include Amy Jacobsen, Gary Ogan, Nick Claver, Mike Suffin, Gary Lapado and saw the return of original vocalist Shannon Walker. Expect a rested and eager group this fall as we make appearances at Tigardville Station, Bleachers, the Sentinel Hotel and the legendary Dublin Pub.
We’re excited to announce our summer schedule which combines some indoor and outdoor venues. In June we return to Tigardville Station and the following week we do a morning gig at the Hillsboro Saturday Market. In July Beadhead will be playing a private backyard party with lots of emphasis on Tropical Rock. Later that month we’ll return to the newly remodeled Bleachers. In August we will play the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace and towards the end of August the band plays at R.O.L.L. cycling/community event in Lake Oswego. We’re working on adding more dates. Hope to see you this summer.
